ascorbic acid is vitamin C in its purest form. It's the most bioavailable form, meaning it is readily absorbed by the body through the bloodstream. Sodium ascorbate is sodium salt of ascorbic acid that gives almost 89 % vit C.
Found in citrus and other fruits, and in vegetables, vitamin C cannot be produced or stored by humans and must be obtained in the diet. Vit C is needed to maintain the health of skin, cartilage, teeth, bone, and blood vessels. It also protects our body's cells from damage hence known as an antioxidant.
For adults, the recommended daily amount of vitamin C is 65 to 90 milligrams (mg) a day, and the upper limit is 2,000 mg a day. So 500 mg vitamin C taken daily is safe. occasionally swallowing tablets or capsules of vitamin C gives bitter / unpleasant sensation. So chewable vitamins are ideal. And if they taste good too, you're more likely to remember to take them instead of viewing them as medicine.
In case you want to swallow the chewable C-TRUST tab then first chew it partially & then swallow it. Drink plenty of liquids while you are taking the C-TRUST tablet.
VITAMIN C & SKIN :
Vitamin C is an antioxidant, meaning it protects skin cells from damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure.
It triggers the production of Glutathione and Vitamin E in the cells that together form pheomelanin — a yellow substance that keeps the skin color bright by replacing eumelanin which is darker.
Thus C-TRUST tab lightens hyperpigmentation and brown spots, even out skin tone, and enhances skin radiance.
ZINC :
Zinc is needed for DNA synthesis, immune function, metabolism and growth. It may reduce inflammation and the risk of some age-related diseases. The daily requirement is 8 to 11 mg which we easily get through diet, but older adults may need to supplement zinc.
